Meditation is essentially about breaking the limits of who we think we are and awakening to the reality of who we truly are. Thoughts, emotions, limiting belief systems, traumas and the dramas that continually fill our mind creating stress, anxiety, inner conflict and uncertainty, disconnect us from the present moment and therefore from a greater magnitude of who we really are.
Inner peace, clarity, happiness, confidence and connection are not qualities we create, but states of being that are revealed when we quiet our mind. These states are always there in the background of our experience, but our mind is usually too busy to notice.

Training for the Mind
The ability to quiet the mind and let go of stressful thoughts and emotions is not something that comes naturally to most people without some kind of training, but just as with any skill it can be learned. Meditation is a training for the mind.
Whether personal, relationship, work, business, sport or recreation, the skill cultivated through meditation is transferable into all aspects of our life.
Calm vs stress... Clarity vs confusion... Confidence vs insecurity... Purpose vs directionless... These become a choice when we learn to silence the usual chaos of our mind.

When there is stress, chaos and turbulence in our life, the stillness inside offers a stable place to rest our consciousness, providing clarity and peace. But if we don't train our self to know the stillness inside, when the chaos comes, stillness will be hard to find.
